Death Row Employee Outs Suge Knight for Having Biggie Killed

Former police officer and Death Row Employee finally tells the truth about who was behind the Biggie murder. He says that Suge Kight is “responsible” although he himself didn’t pull the trigger. Although it has been rumored, this is the first time that anyone inside of Death Row Records has implicated Suge as giving the order to murder Biggie.

Proof That Kevin Samuels Targets Black Women

If you can't find an audience, find an enemy. This is a marketing tactic that works very well, especially in a sensitive climate like we have today. Kevin Samuels learned this from Jordan Peterson, a Canadian academic who started a verbal war with the gay and trans community. Many famous people have used this same tactic including rapper 50 Cent, Floyd Mayweather, Donald Trump, and even Oprah to a degree. 

So, what enemy did Kevin Samuels choose? Is it all women, or black women? I can’t speak on one’s intentions, but the evidence in his brand seems to point to a disdain for black women. Below are pictures of the thumbnails he uses. Over 90% of them are black women.

Kevin is a very corporate minding guy. So, my best guess is that he wants nothing to do with the backlash that comes from targeting WHITE WOMEN exclusively. Which I like to classify as the residual effect of the Emmett Til murder.

Why are LIFETIME biopics so bad?

This Salt-n-Pepa mini-series is co-produced by Queen Latifah and directed by Mario Van Peebles, yet the casting still seems to be off. How difficult is it to find people who can act and look somewhat close to the character they’re portraying? Remember the #LifetimeBeLike hashtag? 

Lifetime has a history of bad biopics. I understand people’s hunger for reminders of their childhood but this trend of biopic after biopic has to fade away at some point. Some of the biopics have come after the celebrity has died and has sparked controversy over the direction of the stories. However this Salt-n-Pepa biopic is different, they are still alive and seem to be included in the project. Maybe this will be the one where Lifetime gets it right, I doubt it but who knows?

Andre 3000 is NOT a Star

A personality named Pretty Ken says that Andre 3000 is not a star but he is an exceptional talent. But, when he gives his criteria of what a star consists of I think his theory falls apart. He says that a star can be stripped of his talent and still hold the attention of the people. 

Ken claims that rapper T.I. is an example of a star because he’s able to garner people’s attention outside of his music. He also claims to talk from a marketing and business perspective when addressing this subject. I couldn't disagree with this guy more. T.I. is more visible than Andre and he is more verbal than Andre. But, what he is not - is more interesting than Andre. I believe you know a true star in his absence. As we see with Colin Kaepernick - sometimes saying less can turn a star to a cult-like figure. 

In Andre’s absence, people feel like the music world is missing something. He is not just an icon musically - he’s one visually also. There is no way someone with a marketing mind thinks that T.I. is more marketable than Andre. The iconic artist’s Prince and Michael Jackson are both enigmas. They’re not conversationalists but they’re definitely stars and Andre is the same.
